History
Boarding house Častrov building was built in 1882 and since then it's owner and function has changed several times. Long ago it used to be a farm-house with barn. With evolution and development it's agricultural function has faded and in 60s one part of the building became a grocery shop and the other part was inhabited by it's owners at that time. After the velvet revolution (1989) the building was in rather desolate state and the present owner had had to reconstruct the whole object in 1992–1995. The barn was changed into a comfortable garage, bike-store and children's playroom and the habitable building had one more cosy floor built and the former shop is the common room now. The old farm-house has changed into a modern, very comfortable and privacy-providing boarding house with present high level of services.

Častrov - The second most beautiful village of Highlands (Vysočina) (in 2001)Boarding house Častrov is situated in the middle of a small Highlands village of the same name in South Bohemia Highlands region (see map). Častrov is near the town Pelhřimov, Jindřichův Hradec, more distant towns are Třeboň, Telč, Jihlava, Tábor, České Budějovice.
The village facilities
Minimarket (50 m from the boarding house), library, fire-men house, post-office, electricity, drainage and telephone line (phonebox is 30 m from the boarding house on the local post-office). In it's surroundings are beautiful spruce-fir-forests which are in the appropriate season real eden for mushrooms-collectors, bikers, running-ski runners.. (see possible activities & sightsees).
